Hawk
CH Black Hawk of Kasan ROM In an age when the term "legend" is tossed around much too casually, Hawk is the genuine article. Hawk changed our breed. His influence as a prepotent sire is unmistakable and his impact on the stature of the smooth variety is undeniable. Hawk was the first smooth to capture Best of Breed at the National, the first smooth to gain Best In Show at an all-breed event, and was the top producing smooth sire of record for many years. His record of six Best of Variety wins at the CC of A is unlikely to be challenged in our time. His legacy is apparent in many families throughout America and abroad. We're very proud that he is behind every collie raised at Foggy Bay.
CH. Kasan Dacin Lone Eagle Hawk's great-grandson "Tyler" provided a more immediate influence on the Foggy Bay family as the sire of Treve, Diva & Ace. Here you see Tyler depicted in a lovely pastel by artist Laura Weiss.
AM/CAN CH Rockwood Sterling Silver Another pivotal figure in the later development of the Arrowhill line was the stunning "Nike." The sire of Arrowhill Tarnished Silver and CH Arrowhill Blue Christmas, Nike influenced almost all of the dogs in the current Arrowhill, Dacin & Foggy Bay families. The first dog I saw at the first collie show I attended, Nike made a believer out of me. Few since have had such dramatic visual impact.
CH Arrowhill Blue Christmas Seen here completing her championship under judge Janet Leek, Merry Merry went on to make a lasting impression in the whelping box. Most significantly, when bred to Tyler, Merry produced Arrowhill Accentuated, 'Ace."
